A wedding elopement in perfect Italian style.
From Australia they chose Salento to get married!

About a year before the date chosen for their wedding in Puglia, I received an email through the contact form on my website. Elisabeth, who would later become the bride, was looking for a reportage style photo shoot that would tell her love flight with Stefano in a unique and original way.
We exchanged various information in a few days and we found ourselves in perfect harmony. Both lovers of the sea, I offered to take him to Cicero and show him the wonders of Puglia.
After those letters, we chatted on Whatsapp and there were a couple of video calls. I would have met the couple directly on the wedding day.
Well! When that day came it was as if we had known each other forever.

Their story.
Elisabeth is from Sydney in Australia, Stefano comes from Brazil. The two met in Australia and have never separated since.
Both lovers of Italy, they chose Salento to get married with an official civil ceremony. In fact, theirs was not a fictitious ceremony as is often done in these cases, but a real marriage presided over by the mayor of the town of Giuggianello.

They then rented a minibus and went with their families to the province of Lecce.
The place designated for the rite was the La Cutura botanical garden in Giuggianello, in the province of Lecce. More precisely, they chose the Italian Garden as the location of the ceremony.
There then we had fun taking walks in the various greenhouses with succulents and cacti from all continents.

After the botanical garden we went with the party to Otranto and took photos of the bay below the high coast and the Palascia lighthouse.

The tour with the group ended in the Salento capital, the beautiful city of Lecce.

A couple of days later they would all leave together for a long journey across Europe to Portugal.

Circa un anno prima della data scelta per il loro matrimonio in Puglia, ho ricevuto un’email attraverso il modulo di contatto del mio sito web. Elisabeth, quella che poi sarebbe diventata la sposa, cercava un servizio fotografico in stile reportage che raccontasse in maniera unica e originale la sua fuga d’amore con Stefano.
Ci siamo scambiati diverse informazioni in pochi giorni e ci siamo trovati perfettamente in sintonia. Amanti entrambi del mare, mi sono offerto per fargli da Cicerone e mostrargli le meraviglie della Puglia.
Dopo quelle lettere, abbiamo chiacchierato su Whatsapp e ci sono state un paio di videochiamate. Avrei incontrato gli sposi direttamente il giorno del matrimonio.
Bene! Quando quel giorno è arrivato è stato come se ci conoscessimo da sempre.

La loro storia.
Elisabeth è di Sydney in Australia, Stefano viene dal Brasile. I due si sono conosciuti in Australia e da allora non si sono più separati.
Amanti entrambi dell’Italia, hanno scelto il Salento per sposarsi con rito civile ufficiale. Infatti la loro non è stata una cerimonia fittizia come si fa spesso in questi casi, ma un vero e proprio matrimonio presieduto dal sindaco della cittadina di Giuggianello.

Hanno allora affittato un pulmino e con le loro famiglie si sono messi in viaggio verso la provincia di Lecce.
Il luogo designato per il rito era il giardino botanico La Cutura a Giuggianello, in provincia di Lecce. Più precisamente hanno scelto il Giardino all’Italiana come location della cerimonia.
Lì poi ci siamo divertiti a fare delle passeggiate nelle varie serre con le piante grasse e i cactus provenienti da tutti i continenti.

Dopo il giardino botanico siamo andati con la comitiva verso Otranto e abbiamo scattato delle foto sulla baia sottostante l’alta costa e il faro delle Palascia.

Il tour con il gruppo è terminato nel capoluogo salentino, la stupenda città di Lecce.

Un paio di giorni dopo sarebbero ripartiti tutti insieme per un lungo viaggio attraverso l’Europa fino al Portogallo.
